Friday Favorites

Hi Y'all!

How happy are you that it is Friday and next week is Christmas?  It was funny, while waiting for the subway to work this morning, I noticed everyone was carrying gift/Christmas/holiday bags to the office and many of my friends start their holiday break after today and have their holiday party tonight.  Unfortunately, I work in finance in NYC, which means technically I work through Christmas Eve but I am heading to Austin the 23rd for my mom's birthday.  So I actually don't work but I will be working the whole week of New Years.  It's ok - I am used to it thanks to years and years of basketball (usually had an 8/9 AM practice on New Years Day).

This week has flown by, like most of this year! I can't wait to spend the next two week making lists and lists and then narrowing my goals down for the New Year.

Travel/Throwback Thursday: Turkey

Hey Y'All!

Sorry that this is so late but it's been a busy day - luckily it means the day has flown by.  But all I can think about is how I have 4 hours worth of stuff to do in 2 hours tonight (if I want to get to bed at a reasonable time) and that is going to have to fight my desire to watch Arrow - R got me hooked!

For "Travel Thursday," I figured I would do a flashback to my time back in the fall of 2012 when I lived in the Middle East and I never shared my pictures of my weekend trip with one of my good friends J!  We had such a blast and such a remarkable time. It was early December just before the riots that occurred in some of the same places we visited.  But for us, we ate great food, I still drool when I think about the Baklava and Turkish Delights and kebab, and had such a fun time exploring, sightseeing and shopping!

This was the view from out hotel/hostel. The Blue Mosque (literally right across the square) and the Bosporus.

Wednesday Work Outfit Inspiration

Hi Y'all!

Sorry that this is late! I really want to start pushing myself and puttin gup pictures but honestly, I hated being in pictures since I was little.  I always preferred to take them (even though my lil sis was so much better at taking them).  I also don't think selfies are the way to go.  SO I think I am going to have to enlist my friends or my Aunt for help, but it is pretty difficult when you work all day-long hours - but excuses, excuses! But hey, it is Wednesday and it is almost Christmas (p.s. HAPPY HANUKKAH - one of my good friends is currently in Israel and I am just so jealous)!

Going back to the blog posts, I have started working on making my New Year's Resolutions, and I think one of them will be to have one outfit post a week (and it can't be a selfie).

Here is a simple but perfect look for the office (in my opinion at least):

Weekend Favorites

Hi Y'all!

So I am awful and have been  non-existent.  Seriously life got terribly busy and I didn't even get to really rest this weekend and then the work week started again and it was back to the grind!

Since I am only just now starting to catch up on blog posts, I thought I would share some of the things that caught my attention this weekend!

1) Thorncrown Chapel - I discovered it through my obsessive watching of 19 Kids and Counting (love me some) and I fell in love with this place.  How perfect is it? I mean where religion and nature meets. It blows me away!

2) These two items from anthropologie:

Travel Thursday - Dubai

Hi Y'all!

So, I don't actually have some place to share with you so I thought I would go back into my "archives" and finish sharing pictures from my various trips to Dubai (in the UAE) so this would have been from Fall 2012.

This is more for family than anything else but hope you enjoy.
