Travel Tuesday: Las Vegas

Hi Y'all!

Sorry for the late post! I know that it is a Tuesday and this last weekend I was in Austin, but I didn't do anything too crazy and touristy while there (I more or less relaxed outside by the pool or cooked with my mom).  So I thought, I would finally share my photos from Las Vegas and I have a feeling that there is a need for 2 separate posts on it, hence the post today!

S and I arrived early Friday morning at the Las Vegas airport and then checked in at the MGM where we were staying for the weekend.

Sadly, I had to do some work before I was able to head out and walk the strip and check out the sights - I also discovered I needed contact solution so we headed to the closest pharmacy store, a Walgreens or Duane Reade and I found this there.

Afterwards, we began to walk the strip.

Hooters hotel.

The Tropicana and Excalibur.

I Love NY NY hotel. - We sadly (not) didn't get on the ride but I made a promise to S so that the next time we go I will have to go on it with her :/.

Monte Carlo.

I had to just add this picture because it was this one that truly reminded me of Abu Dhabi and I was like wow. Am I back in the same place?

There were so many LV stores and I restrained myself but I really do want to buy my LV Neverfull one of these days...

The Cosmopolitan - just the right amount of wrong.  We went in to check out the Chandelier bar and Holsteins.

I got the cookies n creme (oreo milkshake) and Sam tried one of their infamous alcohol milkshakes.  Both were so delicious!

Planet Hollywood

Paris Hotel

Bellagio

Entrance to Bellagio

The cromwell where Giada's new restaurant is located! We then headed to the Caesar's Palace and walked the shops there as well as the casino and restaurant.

I had to get a picture with the Gladiators (and Cleopatra) - Friends flashback.

The Mirage.

Walked past Treasure Island but missed the show :( Another to do for next time!

Eventually we made it to the Las Vegas Convention Center (we must have walked several miles that day - at least 4) and I got to pick up my stuff at the Fitness Expo.

Afterwards, we dragged ourselves to the Linq (new hotel) back on the strip to eat at Hash House A-Go-Go.  I got the famous sage fried chicken and waffles tower and S got the Kokomo (basically a meatloaf sandwich but not just any plain meatloaf sandwich) and look at her bacon cheese mashed potatoes. All of it was so good. Afterwards we had to get a cab and crashed back at the hotel. We didn't make it out that evening.

I still have to share Day 2 and 3's photos.

Thanks for reading!

With joy,

A
